Solaris Wireless: 13 years of institutional electronic device supply

Company milestones from the 2013 Miami founding through Google-approved vendor qualification in 2016, the Ritual.co kiosk programme, Pacific MVNO launches, and the 100,000+ mobile units supplied milestone. Press contacts and media kit at the bottom of the page.

2013, Founding

Solaris Wireless founded in Miami, Florida

Solaris Wireless was founded in 2013 as an institutional electronic device supplier serving Fortune 500 IT departments and regional MVNOs in the southeastern United States. The company started with a focus on bulk smartphone supply with custom OS flashing and SIM lock provisioning capabilities that consumer-retail channels could not provide. Headquartered in Miami, Florida from day one.

2016, Google approval

Solaris Wireless qualified as a Google-approved vendor

Google's procurement organisation needed a discontinued, mission-critical feature phone for internal testing. Existing Google-approved vendors had exhausted their options. Solaris Wireless located authentic units with full provenance documentation through certified secondary-market channels and completed delivery on Google's operational timeline. Solaris was qualified as a Google-approved vendor and has continuously supplied Google with smartphones, consumer electronics, IoT devices and specialist hardware since. Detailed in the Google & Fortune 500 case study.

2018+, Ritual.co

Ritual.co restaurant kiosk programme reaches 10,000+ units across three continents

Solaris Wireless sourced, custom-OS-provisioned (lightweight Android One), stand-mounted, retail-packaged and shipped close to 10,000 mobile-phone kiosk units to Ritual.co restaurant locations across North America, Europe and Australia. The programme is Solaris's largest single-platform deployment and a reference engagement for restaurant-tech kiosk supply at scale. Detailed in the Ritual kiosk deployment case study.

2019+, Republic Wireless

Republic Wireless MVNO handset supply across multiple launch cycles

Solaris Wireless supplied Republic Wireless with custom-OS-flashed Android handsets, SIM-locked to the Republic network, with carrier branding and pre-installed Republic apps, in multiple launch cycles spanning entry-tier, mid-tier and premium SKUs. Direct-to-subscriber retail packaging with welcome insert. Republic Wireless is one of Solaris's flagship MVNO references for the U.S. market and is detailed in the MVNO network operator sourcing case study.

2020+, Pacific MVNO launches

Pacific MVNO programmes including Cook Islands operators

Solaris Wireless supplied Pacific MVNO operators including carriers serving the Cook Islands with SIM-locked, carrier-branded handsets, custom splash banners, default APN configuration and direct-to-subscriber fulfilment. The Singapore supply node was operationalised partly to support these Pacific deployments. The engagement model is detailed in the wholesale Android phones for MVNOs guide.

2021+, Government rapid response

U.S. Government and allied-nation 72-hour rapid-response programme

Solaris Wireless operationalised pre-cleared inventory at all five global supply nodes (Miami, Netherlands, Dubai, Hong Kong, Singapore) to support 72-hour rapid response for ruggedised communications hardware deployments to the U.S. Government and allied nations. The programme is ITAR/EAR compliant with full chain-of-custody documentation. Detailed in the government and military deployment case study.

2024, 100,000+ units milestone

100,000+ mobile units supplied milestone reached

Solaris Wireless crossed 100,000 mobile units supplied to institutional buyers since the 2013 founding. Total includes Fortune 500 enterprise IT fleets, MVNO subscriber handsets, government rapid-response inventory, and the Ritual.co kiosk programme. The milestone reflects 13 years of institutional supply specialism, sustained Google-approved vendor status since 2016, and the operational reach of the 5-node global supply network across 4 continents.

2026, Specialist sourcing milestone

40+ specialist and end-of-life SKUs located for academic and research institutions

Solaris's specialist hardware programme has located 40+ specialist and end-of-life SKUs including export-controlled items for body camera manufacturers, medical device OEMs, research institutions and industrial equipment makers across Europe and Asia. The capability that earned Solaris its Google-approved status in 2016, sourcing through certified secondary-market channels with full provenance documentation, has scaled into a recurring engagement category. Detailed in the specialist hardware sourcing case study.
